Testimonials

"Finders keepers, losers weepers..." Well, we losers can now rejoice! No one's gonna mess with your desktop anymore!!! I know the drill. A roommate, spouse, or cat "borrows" your machine and it's over! When it's returned, nothing is where it's supposed to be -- that is if it survived the endeavor at all!

Well, Gotham city you needn't fear such destruction anymore! I've bent Batman's ear and found his secret, the DesktopKeeper!

Frequently Asked Questions
  1. I can't restore icons to the previous position. Why?
    You have incorrect Windows settings.
Click here to get full instructions how to resolve this problem.
  2. I can't make icons text transparent. Why?
Active Desktop option is enabled. Click here to get full instructions how to resolve this problem.
  3. In July I installed a copy of your DesktopKeeper. Which is an excellent product. But I was amazed to find in My Docs a folder named DesktopKeeper which held folders taking up 3.47 GB of space. I deleted most of these files, but it is still adding about 20MB each day.
DesktopKeeper copies to the "DK" file all files from your desktop. We recommend you to move large files from desktop to any folder and to create a shortcuts to these files. When the DesktopKeeper starts it checks the changes on the desktop. If DesktopKeeper found changes it create a new "dk" file.
These files are located in the My Documents\DesktopKeeper folder.
They have the names like this:
    "1024x768 nov 15 2002 20-58.dk"
    Resolution 1024x768 November 15 2002 20 hours 28 minutes.
You may delete these files without any problems.
